2 gallon glass terrarium with Rosemary and Sage
Rosemary and sage are both native to the Mediterranean region of Europe.
Rosemary is an evergreen plant. Not only does it have a lovely scent, it is a useful herb. Rosemary can grow big (3 - 6 feet!) and will need some pruning to keep it bushy and nice looking. It is also a long lived plant, living up to 10 years.
Sage is another herb, used in food preparation and teas. It can grow up to 2 feet tall and has soft leaves.
The value of the closed top terrarium is keeping moisture in the air. (It also keeps cats from eating your plants) To avoid mold you'll have to remove the top occasionally to allow for air flow and evaporation. There are stones at the bottom of the container to allow for water to drain away from the soil. This will help prevent root rot.
This terrarium will not only be beautiful for years, it will be useful. Replace dried herbs with fresh leaves and taste the difference.
